GEEDITOR / MD → RTF
About this conversion · MD → RTF
Reuse the readable text from Markdown in a RTF document. This is useful when you plan to edit and reformat the wording, not when you need a visually identical copy of the original pages.
This document route rebuilds readable text in the new format. It does not preserve the original page layout, embedded pictures, tracked changes or rich styling. Compare the exported paragraphs with the source before editing or sharing.
Save plain-text input as UTF-8, or UTF-16 with a byte-order mark. The converter does not offer an encoding selector. For garbled text, re-export the source with Unicode encoding rather than repeatedly converting the same bytes.
DOCX, ODT, RTF and EPUB outputs rebuild text in a new document. TXT, Markdown and HTML outputs likewise do not recreate the source's styling. An HTML input is treated as text content, not a full website capture.
How to convert
- Click “Choose files” and select the original Markdown file. Start with one file when comparing settings.
- Check that the output selector shows RTF. The instructions here describe this choice; changing the output can change which settings apply.
- Click “Convert files”, then save the result from its file row. “Download all” puts completed files into a ZIP; it does not combine their contents.
- Open the downloaded RTF document in the intended editor. Compare headings, paragraph order, special characters and table text against the Markdown source; edit the new document if layout matters.
