Color depth, profiles and metadata may change; lost detail cannot be recovered by changing the extension. This route extracts the PDF text layer and creates a new text-based document. Scanned pages need a separate OCR tool. Original layout, images and reading order are not guaranteed to survive, and password-protected PDFs are not supported.

Use NDJSON → PDF to move tabular values between applications. The result is a new data file, not a backup of every workbook feature.

The original file on your device is not overwritten. Keep it until you have opened and checked the downloaded result; a different extension does not restore information already missing from the source.

This route rebuilds supported cell values, not the complete workbook. Charts, macros and formatting are not preserved. Formulas become cached results or inert text; date serials can remain numbers, so check dates and identifiers after import.

When text contains characters unsupported by the built-in PDF font, the engine can render image pages instead of searchable text. Check selection and copying in the result.

Table processing is limited to 100 sheets, 100,000 rows per sheet, 1,024 columns per row and 1,000,000 cells in total. Text-table inputs are limited to 16 MB; split larger datasets while keeping headers consistent.

How to convert

  1. For JSON, use an array of objects or an array of row arrays; do not mix those row types. Nested objects are written as JSON text inside cells, not expanded into new columns. NDJSON needs one valid object or row array per nonblank line.
  2. Click “Choose files” or drop a genuine NDJSON file into the tool. Start with one small sample; changing a filename extension does not change its actual format.
  3. After file checking, the initial output is PDF. You can change the output selector to another compatible format after adding a file. The guide below describes the default NDJSON → PDF conversion, not every alternative.
  4. Image quality, image width, background, PDF page and icon controls do not configure this conversion. Use the engine's built-in settings; this interface does not offer extra controls for this route.
  5. Click “Convert files” once the file is ready. Keep the tab open while it runs. Some formats first download an additional engine; do not repeatedly restart the task while that engine loads.
  6. After completion, use the download link on the file's row. For several completed results, “Download all” packages them in a ZIP; it does not merge their contents. Save downloads before refreshing or closing the tab.
  7. Open the PDF result and compare row counts, headers, empty cells, dates and identifiers with the NDJSON source. Preserve codes such as 00123 as text in the receiving application; do not assume its automatic type detection is correct.
