GEEDITOR / PDF → DOCX
About this conversion · PDF → DOCX
Reuse the readable text from PDF in a DOCX document. This is useful when you plan to edit and reformat the wording, not when you need a visually identical copy of the original pages.
Try selecting a sentence in the original PDF. If the page is only a scanned picture, this converter cannot recognize the letters. If text is selectable but comes out in the wrong order, columns and positioned text may need manual cleanup.
Text export reads the document’s text layer, up to 200 pages. To work with only part of a larger PDF, create a separate file containing those pages first.
How to convert
- Click “Choose files” and select the original PDF file. Start with one file when comparing settings.
- Check that the output selector shows DOCX. The instructions here describe this choice; changing the output can change which settings apply.
- Click “Convert files”, then save the result from its file row. “Download all” puts completed files into a ZIP; it does not combine their contents.
- Open the downloaded DOCX document in the intended editor. Compare headings, paragraph order, special characters and table text against the PDF source; edit the new document if layout matters.
