GEEDITOR / XLSX → PDF
About this conversion · XLSX → PDF
Move table values from XLSX into PDF for further work in another tool. Treat the result as a data transfer, not a workbook backup: formatting, charts and calculation logic need separate attention.
This route rebuilds supported cell values, not the complete workbook. Charts, macros and formatting are not preserved. Formulas become cached results or inert text; date serials can remain numbers, so check dates and identifiers after import.
When text contains characters unsupported by the built-in PDF font, the engine can render image pages instead of searchable text. Check selection and copying in the result.
How to convert
- Click “Choose files” and select the original XLSX file. Start with one file when comparing settings.
- Check that the output selector shows PDF. The instructions here describe this choice; changing the output can change which settings apply.
- Click “Convert files”, then save the result from its file row. “Download all” puts completed files into a ZIP; it does not combine their contents.
- Open the PDF result and compare row counts, headers, empty cells, dates and identifiers with the XLSX source. Preserve codes such as 00123 as text in the receiving application; do not assume its automatic type detection is correct.
